It’s giving song of the summer. 

Kurtains’ latest release, Just Not Sure, is the second single to an upcoming project. In collaboration with Glaive (the first collaboration in the last four years to be released), the two created an upbeat, house track (also produced by Wido). 

Just Not Sure is captivating and lively, starting with a light guitar strum and an acoustic verse by Glaive, expressing his feelings of being unsure about someone: “you’re almost everything I’d ever want, but you’re just not her and I’m just not sure.” The song quickly transitions into a house track with a verse by Kurtains, “you think I’m lying to you, I want to show you how I really feel about you.” As the lyrics bounce back and forth between the two artists, the beat flows from light to lively with a strong transition in the middle (1:38). 

SlowSilver03, the beat tag in the beginning of the song, is a music collective started by Kurtains that both him and Glaive are a part of. The two have known each other for six years, after connecting on discord (an online community). They met at a show in Chicago and found kindred spirits. Just Not Sure conveys their creative chemistry; in addition to one of their first collabs, Crowbars, released in 2020. 

In a recent visit to Europe, Glaive was able to spend time with Kurtains and Wido, Just Not Sure is one of the many songs created during their sessions.

It’s different from most of Kurtains’ songs, which emphasizes his flexibility and artistry to create from emotion. It’s the perfect example of what it can look like to bring artists together. 

Just Not Sure is the epitome of a fresh summer track, one to be played at any party, gathering, or nightclub.
